Adaptive algorithms for PIV image processing

State-of-the-art of research in the field of numerical algorithms for processing images obtained by Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) development is presented. Implementations of the procedures, allowing to receive 2D2C velocity fields, are described. On the basis of the generated synthetic images of particles the analysis of accuracy and spatial resolution of the mentioned procedures is performed.
