Mathematical-cartographic support for "Water and Ecology in Siberia" geoinformation-analytical system
This paper presents an approach for construction of a geoinformation-analytical system (GIAS) consisting of the information and analytical blocks. The system addresses the interdisciplinary studies, which utilize spatial, problem and object oriented databases. The problem how to use geographical maps as a source of metadata and databases has been discussed within the information block of GIAS.
