Modeling and development of GIS-servers for power engineering problems
An approach to the modeling and development of GIS-services is considered. GIS-services are a kind of the Web-services. Flexible tools for power engineering problems are suggested. GIS-services unite the functional abilities of data bases, computer maps and Web access. Topologic relations between map objects are described. Metadata is proposed as a tool for this purpose.
