Multigrid method for solution ofthe direct problem of the induction logging
The problem of induction logging is reduced to a boundary value problem in a domain containing both a well bore and the invaded zone. We use an integro-differential boundary condition for the case of a horizontally layered containing medium. We present a multigrid iterative method for solution of a two-dimensional axisymmetric problem and provide the results of numerical experiments for test problems.
