Distributed geoinformation infrastructure of satellite data

We discuss some of our experiences on the integration technologies for distributed information systems of satellite data. The development of International Information Systems for Earth Observation is analyzed: Virtual Observatories, Virtual Centers, INSPIRE, Spatial Data Infrastructure. The paper addresses the actual problems of satellite archives integration and the ways of their solving based on the development and implementation of methods for distributed systems for storage and searching of information. The project on an implementation of a distributed informational system is considered as an example. The paper surveys emerging standards designed for building distributed service-oriented environments. The project of integration of the Russian satellite data archive into the international system SSE and supported by ESA is considered as an example.
