A testing of the adaptive mesh method for calculations of the one-dimensional detonation waves

In the present paper, we address the adaptive mesh method for numerical modelling of a detonation of gas mixtures. Algorithm of adaptation is checked up on several test problems with discontinuity of solution parameters. It is shown, that the use of an adaptive mesh method essentially improves quality of a numerical solution. The algorithm used for modelling of detonation flows allows to carry out calculations with a grid step sufficient for resolution of fine chemical processes in a detonation wave, and the amount of knots on the grid remains sensible from the point of view of calculation time.
