One-dimension escape of a self-gravitating normal gas into a vacuum

One-dimensional flows of a normal gas under the action of Newtonian gravitation are considered. A problem on the collapse of a one-dimensional cavity is investigated, and it is proved that the free gas-vacuum surface moves with a constant velocity such as that without considering gravitation. The problem of a dispersional gas is also investigated, and it is proved that the free gas-vacuum surface moves as a particle in the gravitational field of a material point.
