On splitting methods in numerical models of drag turbulent wakes in stratified fluid

Present research is aimed at application of the splitting technique to numerical simulation of a turbulent wake behind a towed body in a linearly stratified fluid. The three dimensional parabolized numerical models of far turbulent wakes behind the bodies of revolution in a linearly stratified fluid have been constructed. The constructed numerical models are based on splitting techniques and used to study the dynamics of drag turbulent wakes in a linearly stratified fluid.
