Computational modeling of heat exchange in thermoregulation systems of a space vehicle

There are two mathematical models presented in this paper. The first one has been developed for the heat exchange calculation in a thermoregulation system designed to maintain the frequency standard in a space vehicle. The second one has been developed for a calculation of the distributed characteristics in a porous structure of the hyperheat-conducting panels (flat heat pipes). The model for heat exchange in the thermoregulation system of the device responsible for the standard of frequency is based on the two-dimensional heat conductivity equations. These equations, which account for the radiating heat exchange, describe heat exchange in a honeycomb panel with built in heat pipes. Results of calculations allow estimating of heterogeneity for the temporal and spatial temperature profiles at the spots where devices of a space vehicle are positioned. The heat transfer model in the hyperheat-conducting panels is based on the two-dimensional mass transfer equations for working fluid in a porous structure. On the basis of this model, an algorithm for an estimation of working capacity of the panel due to the capillary restriction is described for a given distribution of heat load on a surface. The model allows calculating surface temperature field on the panel.
