Study of the PTV method with individual particle correlation correction

Present work investigates the PTV method using correction based on correlation of the paired images of particles. Effects of particles diameter, concentration and displacement value on the correction accuracy is studied using artificially generated particles images. The effect of correction algorithm on the spatial resolution of the method PTV is investigated. The advantage of the algorithm is that its use of correction can be carried out after the application of a standard PTV, and hybrid approaches PIV/PTV. In this paper we propose a method for screening of erroneous velocity vectors in an irregular vector field, based on the moving average filter.
