Decaying homogeneous isotropic turbulence in the limit of large Reynolds numbers

In thise article, the initial-value problem is studied for a closure model of the von Karman-Howarth equation. In the limit of large Reynolds numbers, both existence and uniqueness results of the solution for this initial-value problem are proven. The asymptotic stability of the temporal behavior for the obtained self-similar solution is established along with the spatial behavior of solutions at infinity. Moreover, it is shown that under some conditions the Loitsyansky integral plays the role of a conservation law.
