Solving finite-difference equations on GPU. The pyramid method

Authors have developed a method for solving finite-difference equations on GPU, which accounts for available video-memory space . The method is based on the well-known pyramid method, which was earlier used for automatic parallelization of loops. The method has been proved to be an order of magnitude faster than a trivial approach. Theoretical performance estimations were confirmed by computational experiments.
