Numerical solution of boundary-value problems in mechanics of strain and rupture of structurally inhomogeneous bodies with the third-kind boundary conditions

A method for allowing for the boundary conditions of the third kind is suggested under the numerical solution of quasi-stationary boundary -value problems of mechanics strain and rupture of structurally-inhomogeneous media by the method of finite elements. In the frame of the developed model of a granular composite the peculiarities of micro- and macro ruptures have been studied. The dependence of critical deformations and damages of the materials corresponding to the total loss of load-carrying capacity as well as the character of the structural rupture process on the rigidity coefficients of loading system entering the boundary conditions was discovered. The increased rigidity of the loading system promotes the stabilization of injuries accumulation.
