On calculation of axisymmetric solid body motion in the Bingham medium

In this paper we describe a method for calculation of axisymmetric motion of a solid body in the Bingham medium under the influence of gravity. The two-dimensional flow field is conformally mapped on a rectangle. The model of Bingham medium is regularized and thus reduced to the description of motion of a non-Newtonian liquid with viscosity that specifically depends on the second invariant of the strain rate tensor. An example of calculation for a body with an elliptic shape is given.
