This paper proposes a method for solving tomography problem based on the specifics of the Compton scattering. Formulation of the problem is formalized with the help of methods of the radiative transfer theory. Special attention is given to a discussion of the practical applicability of the proposed method. We carried out a series of numerical experiments showing how imperfect detectors affect the accuracy of the method.
