On the stability of rogue waves

Stability problems for the rogue waves are considered. These waves arise in ocean due to nonlinear dynamics of an ideal liquid with free surface. Mathematical problems of criteria of rogue waves are considered. The stability of the rogue waves to external perturbations applied on the free surface and perturbations of the initial data is considered. Stability criteria for rogue waves with respect to small perturbations of the free surface is analyzed.
