Development of sensor elements for monitoring interactions of chemicals and biopolymers

The paper describes the design of new optical sensor elements based on metal nanoclusters. Applications of the technology include high-throughput nanosensors for monitoring hazardous substances, systems such as "artificial nose", cheap disposable protein biosensors for rapid analysis.
