Information support of mechanical strength analysis of cast-resin insulated busbar systems

Goals and methods. The research is aimed to provide the information support for strength analysis of ñast-resin insulated busbar systems. It requires solving the series of tasks which include determination of mechanical properties of insulation material, analysis of stationary temperature mode of elements of busbar system, assessment of stress-strain state and deformation analysis of complex busbar assemblies considering thermal expansion compensators. To solve these tasks the methods of numerical analysis and mechanical testing are considered. Numerical analysis consists of solving the models of heat conduction and thermoelasticity by finite element method. Results. The discussed problems have been solved in order to analyze the possibility of isolation fracture on a long section of busbar system with complex configuration operated in Siberia region. The thermal conditions and load scheme for corresponding numerical models were defined according to operational modes of busbar system. The results showed the possibility of crack initiation in the insulation in some loading cases. Conclusion. The information support components for mechanical strength analysis of ñast-resin insulated busbar systems are formulated in the form of logical scheme. The analysis carried out according this scheme allows getting the necessary and sufficient data to establish the causes of fracture of ñast-resin insulated busbar systems.
