The review of existing digital environmental monitoring systems in Russia and in the world is presented. We describe the problems of Mongolian ecology, hydrological and hydrogeological knowledge of the Lake Khubusgul basin along with the characteris- tics of the existing scientific monitoring of Lake Khubsugul and its adjacent territories
