Three-point difference scheme on the half-infinite interval

A three-point difference scheme with the infinite number of mesh points is considered. A method of reducing this scheme to the scheme with a finite number of mesh points is proposed. The transformation error is estimated. The case of degenerate difference scheme is considered. The asymptotic method for reduction of that scheme is investigated.
