The numerical simulation of the longitudinal-vertical thermal structure of the lake Teletskoye annual cycle

The lake Teletskoye ice-thermal regime was studied on the basis of longitudinal-vertical (lateral-averaged) mathematical model. The model takes into account water compressibility, meteorological factors, wind and inflow discharges currents. The last are conditioned on the river inflows, including lateral, and the lake outflow. The accounting of water compressibility allows describing more precisely the hydrothermal conditions in the deep part of the lake. The additional equation for the ice heat balance was included into the model for the description of the thermal regime in winter. The numerical simulations of Lake Teletskoye annual cycle thermal structure were performed. The comparison of the calculated vertical temperature profiles for different moments of time and for number of places and also of ice cover thickness with field measurement data is given.
