Improvement of software and hardware infrastructure for microgrid simulation
The paper addresses the problems associated with improvement of the architecture and functional capabilities for integrated hardware and software infrastructure used for microgrid simulation. A new technology is introduced that supports direct data exchange between the software layer of the infrastructure and the target equipment, as well as centralized control of its individual modules. The modified architecture has improved measurement accuracy from 0.1 to 0.001 and increased the frequency of data collection. Replacement of several polling modules for equipment interrogation reduced the average response time by 90 ms. The control time delay when impacting equipment parameters has been reduced by almost half. The advantages of the modified architecture and the advanced functionality of the proposed technology are shown in comparison with the baseline configuration. A comparative assessment of the developed system against publicly accessible analogs is presented. The computing experiment confirms the correctness and operability of the monitoring system.
