Transformation of singular systems of Volyterra-type integral equations

A class of systems of Volterra-type integral equations is investigated with the singular matrix at the unknown. A scheme for the construction of a linear differential operator whose application to the input equation yields the system of the second kind is suggested. A similar operator for the systems of integral and differential equations with the singular matrix at the highest derivative is constructed. A new formula for calculating the index of a sheaf of matrices is obtained.
