Laser remote sensing of the Southern Ocean
The ENEA laser remote sensing group in Frascati has developed an integrated LIF (Laser Induced Fluorescence) laboratory in the frame of the Italian Programme for Antarctica. Chlorophyll-a and Chromophoric Dissolved Organic Matter fluorescence maps, collected during the XIII (97/98), XV (99/00) and XVI (00/01) marine campaigns in the South-western Ross Sea and along the Southern Ocean transects up-to New Zealand.
