Implicit method of numerical modelling of viscous gas space flows

An implicit finite-volume method for numerical simulation of complex compressible viscous flows is presented. Convective fluxes through the cell faces are approximated using Chakravarthy-Osher TVD-scheme with Van Leer's limiter. LU-factorization is used to invert implicit operator. The calculations of several two-dimensional and three-dimensional laminar viscous flows have been conducted for method testing. Comparisons with experimental data and the other numerical solutions showed good accuracy of the presented method in predicting boundary layer characteristics and locations of separation and reattachment points.
