Design and implementation of modern software for power engineering research

The problem of design and implementation of contemporary software for power engineering research is examined. The problem is viewed on the example of software "INTEK-2". It is used for the energy security problem research. The authors suggest the approach to the design and implementation of contemporary software using open technologies Java, RMI and some other. The presented approach has been developed as a generalization of authors' and their colleagues experience of designing and implementation software for power engineering research. The authors hope that it can useful for IT specialists engaged in research software development.
