Numerical modelling of flow around island using adaptive grids

Iterative algorithm for numerical modelling of stationary fluid flows with surface gravitational waves in river-beds with islands using adaptive grids is presented. Plane shallow water model is used taking into account bottom irregularity, frictional force and Coriolis force. The problem is formulated in new dependent variables, i.e. stream function and vorticity function. Modification of equidistribution method for curvilinear grid generation in multiply connected domains is given. Results of numerical modelling of flow around island in the river-bed with complicated shore line are presented.
