Internal waves, generated by turbulent wakes in stably stratified medium

The results of numerical modelling of dynamics of internal waves generated by turbulent wakes behind self-propelled and towed bodies in stably stratified fluid are presented. It has been shown that the wake behind towed body generates waves of essentially large amplitude then the wake behind self-propelled one. Brief presentation of results of numerical investigations of dynamics of internal waves induced by zone of partially mixed fluid in stably stratified media has been done.
