The modified method offinite volume for shallow water system equations approximation on unstructured meshes

A new computational algorithm for modeling the water wave propagations, based on nonlinear theory of shallow water is described. The explicit-implicit scheme is applied for time discretization. Mixed Modified Finite Volume Method (MFVM) is used for spatial approximation of the equation system. The linear basis functions are used for the wave surface, the square basis function are used for the velocity fields. The suggested algorithm is realized on unstructured triangular mesh. Numerical results are presented.
