The design of equal strength homogeneous and composite shells of revolutions

The problems of rational design of multilayer axisymmetrical polyreinforced shell structures are formulated. The criteria of rationality are either the requirements of equal crack resistance of a binder, or equal stress of reinforcing fibres, or their combination. The problems of designing momentless nodoid shell and momentless combined pressure vessel are solved. Circumferential and helical sets of the reinforcement are thus equal-stressed.
