Geoinformational Internet system "Natural Resources of Krasnoyarsk Region"

The purpose of the present work was gathering, ordering and classification of an actual material on natural resources of Krasnoyarsk Region, creation of the structured hypertextual directory system closely interconnected to thematic maps in uniform geographic information system (GIS). The decision of the specified problem bases on the careful analysis and development of modern technologies and GIS and Internet standards, using of client-server architecture of designing of databases, on Windows and Unix platforms. The represented system structurally consists of two basic elements - 1) Database of articles of the natural-resource subjects, prepared on the basis of the data of "The Yenisei encyclopedic dictionary'', 2)Atlas of natural resources of Krasnoyarsk Region - a collection of thematic maps with Internet-based access.
