Computational and information technologies for environmental sciences

A brief analysis of a scope and a role of computational and information technologies for environmental sciences is given. A report on the International Young Scientist School and Conference CITES-2003 (Computational and Information Technologies for Environmental Sciences) held in Tomsk in September 2003 is given. Lecture notes of the main courses along with selected invited lectures are presented in brief.
