Numerical modeling of heat and moisture transfer in a system "atmosphere-water reservoir-soil"

An one-dimensional model of shallow reservoir thermodynamics describing physical processes in underlying soil layer is constructed. The model simulates seasonal dynamics of a lake (including ice and snow layer formation) and year-to-year variability. A number of numerical experiments is performed; model predictions and natural data are compared. It is shown that the model gives a satisfactory agreement between some predicted and observed parameters for lakes in Western Siberia and Yakutiya.
