Energy methods application for vector field calculation

A principle of minimum of a quadratic energy functional is formulated for 3D problem of vector field calculation from given curl and divergence in the domain with impenetrable boundary. The obtained matrix of finite element method is shown to be symmetric. It is proved to be positively defined for a number of particular cases.
