Analysis of the finite element and finite volume methods based upon unstructured grids for solution of the Navier-Stokes equations

The finite element method in the Ritz` form (discretization of momentum equation) in combination with the finite volume technique (approximation of continuity equation) are used for incompressible viscous flows in pipes modeling. Analysis of proposed linearization scheme connecting with transition of the momentum equations to a self-adjoined form is presented. One of the possible finite volume form constructed on pipe crossection triangulars and orresponding approximation of continuity equation are investigated.
