Reconstruction of the small-scale field of surface pressure from its integral characteristics

In this article we propose a method for reconstruction of the small-scale structure of daily surface pressure. A priori estimates, actual errors of reconstruction, and the reliability analysis of the statistical model for the inverse problem are presented. It is shown that the reliability and accuracy of the model are well correlated. The results of this article can be used for prediction of extreme events in the atmosphere.
