Numerical investigation of local atmospheric processes

Results of application of mesoscale meteorological models MM5 and WRF to analyze a development of local atmospheric processes over the Western Siberia terrain are presented. The considered mesoscale models were realized with the help of multiprocessor computing system with distributed memory. For various weather conditions a comparison of predictions of wind speed, wind direction and near surface temperature with the results of meteorological observations, as well as formation of high level concentrations of ozone over the researched domain was performed.
