Invariant properties of a model of the turbulent far wake

Two-dimensional and axisymmetric models of the turbulent far wake are considered. The full symmetry groups for this models are derived. In particular, the models are invariant under two dilatations. Using the symmetry subgroup we reduce the correspondent systems of partial differential equations to the ordinary differential equations and obtain solutions with natural boundary conditions. Some scale-invariant solutions agree qualitatively with the experimental data.
