Automatic parallel generation of three-dimensional unstructured grids for computational mechanics

An algorithm for the parallel generation of 3D unstructured grids based on a CAD surface description is presented in this paper. In this work more emphasis is given to practical issues and implementation. The domain decomposition approach has been employed. The parallel grid generator was coupled with a linear elasticity FEM parallel solver.
