Numerical optimization for location of wells
Optimization problems for locations and extraction regimes of the newly commissioned wells at an oil field are considered. Mathematical formulation along with a numerical method for solving these problems is presented. The proposed numerical algorithm relies on the methods of optimal control over a system with distributed parameters.
