Numerical study of standing detonation waves

Numerical simulations have been performed to study regular and Mach reflections of oblique shock waves in a steady supersonic flow of a homogeneous combustible gas mixture for different inflow Mach numbers Min. The main objective of the present study is to investigate numerically the feasibility of ``stationary'' detonation at the Mach reflection of oblique shock waves. It has been found that for some values of Min there may exist a standing Mach stem with a system of unsteady transverse waves on its front.
