Influence of dynamics on thermodiffusion in a 2d layer with free boundaries

A partially invariant solution of thermodiffusion equations is investigated. The solution describes a 2D motion of binary mixture in a layer with free boundaries. Equilibrium position of the layer is found, in which the heat and admixture transfer is governed by the molecular transport. The nonlinear problem is solved by Galerkin and finite-difference methods. Accounting of the dynamics effect results in decay of motion in finite time.
