Climate-carbon cycle interaction in the 20th-21st centuries from global climate model simulations

The IAP RAS climate model is extended by the carbon cycle module. The climate-carbon cycle feedback leads to an additional storage of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This additional storage amounts 67...90 mln-1 in the 21st century with the possible scenarios of anthropogenic emissions (SRES A1B, A2, B1, and B2). Total content of the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere increases to 615...875 mln-1 at the end of the 21st century with the appropriate increase in the global surface temperature about 2.4...3.4 K relative to the preindustrial state.
