Territory zoning according to the danger level and flooding risk estimation using GIS-technolology

Flooding leads to the serious damage and this is why the problem associated with flooding risk estimations for Western Siberian territories is rather actual today. In this paper we present a method of the flooding risk estimation and zoning of territories accord-ing to the flooding risks. Subsequent estimation of possible flooding has been done with the help of large-scale digital maps. The method is tested for Kondoma and Kiya river basins in the Kemerovskaya Region.
