Long period changes in the intra-annual variability of upper-air temperature
The problem of analysis of the long period changes (trends) in the high frequency climate variability (variability in the intra-seasonal scale) is considered in relation to the upper-air temperature. The adjusted inter-quarter range is used as the measure of such intra-seasonal scale variability. Some trend patterns in the series of the above mentioned measure are obtained and discussed for the case of the upper-air temperature over the European part of Russian Federation.
