Numerical implementation of the filtrating gas combustion based on a two-level semi-implicit difference schemes

In this paper we address a problem of numerical modeling on the propagation of a combustion front into an inert porous medium during the filtration of a combustible gaseous mixture. Possibilities of application of some new modifications of the explicit difference schemes to solution of strongly multi scale spatial-temporal problems along with the approaches to the space-time mesh adaptivity, etc. are discussed within the presented investigation. Presented numerical results demonstrate a robustness of this technique for the analysis of different physical phenomena in the processes of filtrating gas combustion.
