The ICCH13 will take place in Novosibirsk Akademgorodok. Akademgorodok is one of the largest scientific centers in Russia. University and over 30 research institutes are situated there. The opening ceremony of the ICCH13 will take place in the conference hall of the House of Scientists. Climate The average air temperature range is between +15+25 C but sometimes it can be rather cold. Guests are kindly suggested to have some warm clothes like sweaters and jackets. Sunshine largely predominates, but rain may occur. Time Local Novosibirsk time differs from Moscow by +3 hours, i.e. Greenwich Mean Time +6 hours. Electricity 220 volts, 50 Hz, 2 pin round plugs. Currency and banking There are a lot of local banks and branches of Moscow banks
in Novosibirsk. Sibacadembank is situated in Akademgorodok and works from Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 1.00 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.. You can obtain US dollars in cash by your credit and debit cards: Visa Card, Euro Card/Master Card (brokerage 3-4%). You can also obtain US dollars, Deutschmarks or directly Russian rubles in cash by traveler's cheques of American Express or VISA according to the current exchange rate. Brokerage is from 1% to 5% depending of the cheque's face value. You can exchange foreign currency in cash for Russian rubles in numerous exchange offices in airports, hotels, post offices and supermarkets. Shops The shops are generally open from 9.00 am or 10.00 am to 7.00 pm for a whole week. There are some 24-hour food shops.
