Numerical calculation piston motion under shockless compression of a cone with an ideal gas

The method of numerical construction of the shape of a moving piston (plunger) providing shockless (collisionless) compression of the ideal gas in a cone. The construction of a velocity field is shown under the shockless (collisionless) compression of the gas is described by the characteristics method. The algorithms have been suggested defining more precisely the grid of characteristics constructed by Masseau (?? Ìàññî) method. The results of calculations based on this method are given proving the efficiency of the suggested algorithms and the values of the pressure at given time on the specified point on the piston (plunger).
