Global electric fields calculation

The efficient numerical algorithm is developed to solve the global problem of the atmospheric electric conductivity. The problem of the electric field penetration from the ionosphere down to the Earth's surface is solved for quiet geomagnetic conditions. It is shown that the electric field near the Earth's surface can be constructed as a solution of the one-dimensional vertical problem. To simulate electric fields and currents in the upper atmosphere solution of the 3D problem is necessary.
