Application of finite element method for generating adaptive numerical grids

New aspects of a mesh generation method based on the numerical solution of inverted Beltrami and diffusion equations with respect to control metrics are considered. A finite element method was used for the numerical solution of these equations. The method allows one to generate grids in domains with complicated boundaries. Examples of two-dimensional structured adaptive numerical grids generated by the method are presented.
